ICON Signature Series: Chris Hagerman

Exceptional service has always been at the heart of everything Chris does. Long before launching his real estate career, he built his foundation in hospitality, where attention to detail, thoughtful communication, and creating memorable experiences weren’t just appreciated—they were expected. Today, those same principles guide every client interaction, allowing him to deliver a level of care that extends far beyond the transaction.

A smiling family of three poses together in a garden. The mother holds a toddler in her arms, while the father stands beside them, all dressed in casual summer attire.

When Chris decided to pursue real estate, finding the right brokerage was just as important as building the right business. After interviewing with several companies, Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty immediately stood out.

“It felt less like they were trying to recruit me and more like we were making sure our values aligned,” Chris recalls. “I wanted to surround myself with professionals who strive to be the very best for their clients, and I found that here.”

Combined with more than 30 years of local market knowledge and the unmatched global reach of Sotheby’s International Realty, Chris is able to provide clients with both personalized expertise and worldwide exposure.

A man in a suit stands next to a large decorative guitar against a green moss-covered wall, with a chandelier above and a patterned floor.

What truly sets Chris apart is his unique blend of hospitality, strategy, and innovation. Every client relationship begins with understanding individual goals before creating a customized plan built around strategic pricing, creative marketing, skilled negotiation, and the latest technology. While he embraces new tools and data-driven insights, he never loses sight of the fact that real estate is, above all, a people business.

For Chris, buying or selling a home isn’t simply a transaction—it’s one of life’s biggest milestones. Whether helping first-time buyers, growing families, or luxury home sellers, his priority is making the experience feel organized, informed, and as stress-free as possible.

His passion for helping families is deeply personal. Growing up in apartments and rental homes, Chris experienced firsthand what homeownership represents. One of the proudest moments of his career came when he helped his own father purchase his very first home.

“It reminded me why I chose this profession,” he says. “We’re not just helping people buy or sell houses—we’re helping create stability, lifelong memories, and generational wealth.”

A smiling adult man and a toddler are enjoying a sunny day in a garden. The toddler is wearing a colorful, patterned top and white pants, while the man is crouching beside her, holding her hand.

That same commitment continues long after closing day. Chris believes every transaction marks the beginning of a lasting relationship. He stays connected through regular check-ins, market updates, trusted vendor recommendations, and ongoing guidance whenever clients need advice. It’s an approach that has naturally led to lasting friendships and a business built largely through referrals.

Outside of real estate, Chris enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Bree, and their two children, Camryn and Chris Jr. Family adventures often include paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, camping, gardening, or simply enjoying the outdoors together. Whether he’s perfecting homemade pizza in his outdoor oven or introducing his children to new experiences, creating meaningful memories remains one of his greatest priorities.

A man with a beard and sunglasses smiles and shows a peace sign while standing next to a portable pizza oven outdoors. He is wearing a tank top and oven glove, with pizza ingredients and a pizza peel on the table in front of him. In the background, people are gathered at a celebration with balloons and decorations.

As a lifelong resident of the Greater Sacramento region, Chris has developed a deep appreciation for the unique character of each community he serves. From Roseville and Granite Bay to Fair Oaks, Folsom, Cameron Park, and beyond, he enjoys helping clients discover neighborhoods that truly fit their lifestyle while providing local insight they can trust.

If Chris had to describe the way he works with clients in just three words, they would be:

Genuine. Strategic. Dependable.

Those three qualities define every interaction and reflect his commitment to delivering a level of service that clients remember long after the keys are handed over. Backed by the strength of Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty and driven by a genuine passion for helping others, Chris continues to provide an elevated real estate experience built on trust, professionalism, and lasting relationships.

ICON Signature Series: Lisa Lyford

At Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty, we are proud to work alongside professionals whose careers reflect integrity, dedication, and a genuine commitment to serving others — There’s something instantly welcoming about Lisa Lyford.

Maybe it’s her easygoing personality, her positivity, or the way she naturally makes people feel comfortable from the moment they meet her. But behind that approachable energy is also a seasoned real estate professional who genuinely loves helping people navigate some of life’s biggest milestones.

As a longtime Global Real Estate Advisor with Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty, Lisa has built her business around relationships, trust, and creating memorable experiences for her clients. Whether she’s helping first-time homebuyers purchase their very first home or guiding longtime clients into their next chapter, she approaches every transaction with compassion, honesty, and a commitment to making the process feel seamless and enjoyable.

For Lisa, joining Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty was a natural fit because the brand reflected the elevated level of service she had always worked hard to provide her clients. To her, luxury has never been about a price point—it’s about the experience people receive and how they feel throughout the process.

That philosophy has become the foundation of her business.

Her clients know they can rely on her to guide them through every milestone while making the experience feel smooth, positive, and stress-free. She believes successful transactions happen when everyone works together, creating a better experience not only for clients, but also for lenders, inspectors, escrow officers, and cooperating agents involved along the way.

What Lisa values most, though, are the relationships that continue long after closing.

For her, the closing table is never the end of the relationship—it’s often just the beginning.

Over the years, many of her clients have become close personal friends. From pizza and swim parties at her home to frozen yogurt outings, lunches, and regular check-ins, Lisa stays connected with the people she works with long after the keys exchange hands. She also continues supporting them with trusted referrals for contractors, landscapers, painters, and other resources they may need after moving into their new home.

Real estate, for Lisa, has always been deeply personal.

One story in particular perfectly reflects the kind of care she brings to her clients.

A young family she was helping purchase a home found themselves in limbo just days before Christmas after unexpected delays pushed back their move. Knowing they planned to visit the property the following day, Lisa and her daughter Olivia decided to surprise them.

On a rainy evening, they picked out a Christmas tree, gathered lights and ornaments, and secretly set everything up inside the family’s future home. They even left wrapped presents under the tree for the couple’s young son.

The experience became one of the most meaningful moments of Lisa’s career and perfectly captured the heart behind the way she approaches her work.

Outside of real estate, Lisa loves spending time outdoors with family and friends. Her backyard—complete with a custom woodfire pizza oven she built herself—has become one of her favorite gathering places for entertaining.

She also enjoys waterskiing, snow skiing, paddleboarding, biking, hiking, and tennis, embracing every opportunity to stay active and enjoy the outdoors.

Lisa has always loved taking on creative projects and learning new skills, including welding, which became an unexpected hobby she now genuinely enjoys.

Giving back to the community is also an important part of her life. She volunteers with Achieve Tahoe, helping individuals with disabilities learn to waterski, and she contributes financially from every closing to the PANC Foundation in support of Parkinson’s research.

The qualities that best define Lisa are honesty, compassion, and the ability to make people feel cared for throughout every step of the journey.

Over the years, she has learned the importance of staying curious, listening closely, and recognizing that every client and every transaction comes with unique needs and experiences.

That mindset, paired with years of experience and a genuine love for helping others, continues to make her a trusted resource for clients throughout Placer County and beyond.

One of the things Lisa values most about being part of Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty is the sense of connection and support within the company.

Surrounded by collaborative leadership, staff, and fellow agents, she feels fortunate to be part of a culture where encouragement and teamwork are always just a phone call away.

Because for Lisa Lyford, real estate has never simply been about buying and selling homes.

It’s about people, relationships, and creating experiences that clients will remember long after the transaction is complete.

ICON Signature Series: Lupe Springer

At Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty, we are proud to work alongside professionals whose careers reflect integrity, dedication, and a genuine commitment to serving others — and Lupe Springer is a true reflection of that standard. With a real estate career that began while she was still in college, Lupe has built her business from the ground up, guided by resilience, resourcefulness, and a passion for helping people improve their lives through real estate.

One of Lupe’s most meaningful professional accomplishments was co-founding Homestead360 Real Estate with her business partner, Michelle Edgington. When it came time to elevate their business, Lupe  & Michelle made the intentional decision to align with Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty. She recognized that Nick Sadek and his team shared the same core values that define her own approach — treating clients and the community with respect, care, and integrity. Backed by the Sotheby’s International Realty brand, known for its timeless standard of excellence and global reach, Lupe has been able to enhance the level of service she provides while staying true to the foundation of her business.

Real estate is the only career Lupe has ever known, and her depth of experience is both practical and highly specialized. Early in her career, she worked alongside a custom home builder and has walked through thousands of property inspections, giving her a strong understanding of how homes function beyond the surface. Her personal life has also shaped her expertise — living on a small horse farm in rural Yolo County has given her firsthand knowledge of country properties, including wells, septic systems, land use, and equestrian living. This combination of professional and personal experience allows Lupe to guide clients with clarity and confidence, particularly those seeking rural and lifestyle properties.

In addition to her knowledge, Lupe’s strong network of local vendors and professionals plays a key role in her ability to go above and beyond. Over the years, she has built trusted relationships within the community, allowing her to connect clients with the right resources at every stage of their real estate journey.

Lupe approaches real estate as a relationship-driven business. For her, the connection with clients does not end at closing — it continues to grow over time. She stays in touch through gatherings, client events, dinners, fundraisers, and simple check-in calls. Many of her clients supported her early in her career, and today they have become an extension of her real estate family. She continues to support them by contributing to their causes, sponsoring their children’s activities, and showing up in meaningful ways whenever she can.

Having spent much of her career with boutique firms, Lupe values a personalized and hands-on approach. At Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty, that experience is elevated through access to high-level marketing, innovative tools, and a collaborative leadership team. With the support of experienced management and colleagues, Lupe continues to refine and elevate her service, delivering a white-glove experience that reflects both professionalism and care.

Lupe’s journey into real estate began out of determination. While putting herself through school and working full-time, she needed a career that allowed flexibility. Real estate provided that opportunity — allowing her to attend classes during the day while working evenings and weekends to serve her clients. What began as a practical solution quickly became a lifelong passion. Today, she values the variety each day brings and the opportunity to help clients solve problems, create stability, and improve their lives.

One of the most memorable experiences in Lupe’s career came just weeks after she became licensed. She helped a family purchase their first home despite language barriers, limited savings, and no established credit. With the help of their 14-year-old daughter translating, Lupe found a way to make homeownership possible for them at a payment they could afford. That home represented more than just a purchase — it was a stepping stone toward a better future. Over the years, Lupe stayed connected with the family. The mother went on to become a proud U.S. citizen, and all five children pursued careers related to real estate. It is a lasting example of Lupe’s belief that persistence and care can create life-changing outcomes.

Lupe is known for building lasting relationships by serving as a trusted advisor. Her approach can be described in three words: experienced, connected, and trusted. She understands that every client’s situation is unique, and she takes pride in finding solutions that align with their goals. The biggest lesson guiding her work is simple yet powerful — never quit, because there is always a way.

Outside of real estate, Lupe finds balance and joy in spending time riding her horses, gardening, and traveling with her husband. She has a deep connection to Yolo County farmland, where the open space, privacy, and natural beauty — especially the sunsets — reflect the lifestyle she loves most. Her passion for equestrian properties is not only professional, but deeply personal.

Lupe emphasizes the importance of preparation for anyone considering buying or selling a home. Her advice is to start early and create a clear plan to reach your goals. Through ongoing education, involvement with the California Association of Realtors, and regular attendance at industry workshops and classes, she ensures that her clients receive informed, up-to-date guidance in an ever-changing market.

If given the opportunity to design her dream home, Lupe would incorporate elements that reflect her lifestyle — a horse barn, a four-car garage, and space to fully enjoy the rural setting she values so deeply.

Lupe Springer’s career is defined not only by her experience, but by the relationships she has built and the lives she has impacted along the way. We are proud to have her as part of Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty, where her dedication, authenticity, and client-first mindset continue to elevate the level of service we provide to our clients and community.

ICON Signature Series: Team Lund

At Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty, the ICON Signature Series highlights the agents and teams who exemplify the professionalism, dedication, and exceptional service that define our brand. This edition features Team Lund, a close-knit, family-driven team known for their strong relationships, deep local knowledge, and commitment to client care.

For Team Lund, partnering with Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty was a natural fit. The team felt the brand aligned perfectly with the way they already conduct their business — with integrity, professionalism, and a focus on putting clients first. While Sotheby’s International Realty provides exceptional global marketing and resources, what mattered most to the team was the ability to combine that international reach with their relationship-driven, local approach.

Much of Team Lund’s business comes from friends, past clients, and referrals, making it essential to work with a brokerage that values relationships as much as they do. Through Sotheby’s International Realty, the team is able to provide world-class exposure for their listings while maintaining the personalized service their clients expect — the kind of service where agents are accessible, responsive, and treat every client like family.

Family is truly at the heart of Team Lund. Becky Lund has been in the real estate industry for over 26 years and built the foundation of the business. Her son Nelson joined the industry 10 years ago, followed by her nephew Danny four years ago. This year, Jovan — someone Becky has known since he was young — joined the team as well. Together, they bring multiple generations of experience, perspectives, and strengths to the clients they serve.

Their days are rarely the same, which is one of the aspects of real estate they enjoy most. A typical day may involve preparing market analyses, meeting with sellers to discuss pricing strategies, coordinating staging and photography, showing homes to buyers, and communicating with clients and other agents to keep transactions moving smoothly. Along the way, there is always collaboration, problem-solving, and a shared commitment to providing thoughtful guidance to every client.

For Team Lund, closing a transaction is often just the beginning of a long-term relationship. Many of their clients stay in touch for years, and a significant portion of their business comes from past clients referring friends and family. One of their favorite stories highlights just how meaningful those relationships can become — a past client was actually the person who introduced Becky to her husband. It is a reminder that real estate connections often turn into lifelong friendships.

The team also enjoys giving back to the communities they serve by supporting local youth sports, neighborhood events, and community initiatives that bring people together.

Delivering white glove service, a hallmark of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand, is something Team Lund takes seriously. For them, it means paying close attention to every detail, anticipating clients’ needs, and ensuring the entire process feels seamless. While the Sotheby’s network provides exceptional marketing and global exposure, the true white glove experience comes from how the team cares for their clients — staying organized, communicating clearly, and remaining fully invested in achieving the best possible results.

Some of the most rewarding moments in their work come from helping clients through important life transitions. Recently, the team assisted a longtime client in selling a home they had lived in for decades. While the process was emotional, guiding the client through each step and helping them move forward with confidence was a powerful reminder of why they love what they do.

For anyone considering buying or selling a home, Team Lund believes the most important step is speaking with a professional who understands the local market and your personal goals. With the right preparation, information, and trusted guidance, the process can be both successful and rewarding.

Through their family foundation, commitment to relationships, and dedication to their community, Team Lund continues to embody the spirit of service that defines Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty.

Realtors® Who Shrine – Making Transactions Meaningful

Realtors Who Shrine Graphic

Kathi Jobson and her husband Michael sat, dressed in their freshly pressed evening wear at the Elks Tower in downtown Sacramento. Waiters served dishes from top Sacramento

restaurants as guests at the charity gala mingled. The event, hosted to raise money for Shriners Hospital by a friend and former colleague, was everything Kathi expected.

Then a video played hushing the noise.

“They showed a video of a little girl and her family that got in a car wreck and her legs were injured very badly. It was one of the most moving videos and after the father got up to speak. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It really inspired Michael and I.”

Kathi isn’t new to nonprofit work, she sat on the UC Davis Hospital Board for 10 years with the current Director of Development at Shriners Hospital, but hearing this father’s story sparked an idea that she had been mulling around for some time. How could she combine her thriving real estate career with her lifelong passion of giving back? The answer was Realtors Who Shrine.

“Realtors Who Shrine works by inviting real estate buyers and sellers across the state to simply select a member of our agent network, and by doing so, receive top notch service and support children in need, all with no cost to them! The process works exactly the same but upon closing the transaction, a percentage of the agent’s commission will be instantly donated directly to Shriners Hospital via a dedicated payment from the real estate escrow account to Shriners Hospital.” explains Jobson.

The program empowers everyday people to gift a portion of the real estate sale commission to a worthy cause. Clients have found the process to be simple and transparent, a way to give creatively and to a caliber that would generally be out of reach.

Now, Kathi’s passion-project has developed into a full-fledged team of agents who have donated over $92,000 to Shriners. And she is far from slowing down, Kathi and Shriners are in talks to roll out the program nationally.

Amber Fortier partnered with Realtors Who Shrine after meeting Kathi and hearing about her work.

“I heard about what she was doing for Shriners Hospital and knew I wanted to be a part of it. In real estate we have the ability to make a huge impact on our clients and community in ways I never thought possible when I started” said Fortier.

“The staff go so far beyond health care in what they provide for the patients and their families. I feel fortunate to be able to support their mission. Being part of something bigger than you and knowing the impact you make in a child’s life is what gets me through those challenging days in this industry.” said Fortier.

In addition to offering world-class medical services, Shriners takes patients regardless of their family’s ability to pay.

“At other hospitals the nurses and doctors are limited on what treatments they can give the kids based on if insurance will pay for it. Not so at Shriners. They do what’s best for the child, if insurance doesn’t cover it, they pay for it. It’s a very special feel when you’re inside of there.” says Jobson.

If you’re not looking to buy or sell in the future, you can support the organization by refinancing with their partnered lenders or attending their rotating list of sponsored events (including an upcoming Cornhole Tournament in October) by visiting their website.

Greg Vaughn Celebrity Golf Tournament Granite Bay

We are proud to have the opportunity to participate in the 2nd Annual Greg Vaughn Celebrity Golf Tournament this year to be held at the Granite Bay Golf course benefiting JDRF Diabetes Foundation. The tournament will take place at the Granite Bay Golf Course on August 28th.

Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty will be proudly displayed on all of the caddie’s aprons but it isn’t about having our logo on display. It is more then that. It is about giving back to others. It is about being involved in our community.

It is about helping our clients with their visions and causes. Nick always says,”it is about being part of the family!”

Currently we have the Starr Vaughn Equestrian Center listed for sale by Judy and Nick. The Vaughn family always does everything top notch. This golf tournament is bound to raise an extensive amount of money to be donated to this wonderful cause, JDRF. If you visit the Starr Vaughn Equestrian Center, you will also see that it is a top notch equestrian center. Planned with the horses and riders in mind right down to the soil that is used all the way to the kitchen and riding facilities for the riders and their horses.

If you ever dreamed of owning an equestrian center, you should check out this spectacular world class facility.

Here is a great video of why raising funds for the JDRF is so important to this 355 home run hitter baseball player, Greg Vaughn. He speaks of his son Cory’s onset of Type 1 Diabetes at age 11 and how they have learned to live with this illness and Cory, himself, becoming a professional baseball player.

If you are inspired like we were to donate to the foundation or participate in the Greg Vaughn Celebrity Golf Tournament, you can reach out to the foundation (Elizabeth Dixon 916.576.1379 edixon@jdrf.org) or contact Judy Richardson at 916.870.4003.
